Oasys Bifocals
"Today is the first day I put in my new bi-focal contacts. My vision is terrible so correction is not an option for me.
My close up vision is fantastic in these. My distance vision is terrible. Everything four feet and further is blurry and lettering is somewhat doubled.
I truly hope it improves. As a wearer of contacts for 27 years , with -6.00 vision, I really want to get out of my new bifocal glasses. So, here's hoping." (Add a comment)

"The first time I used I could not read the double vision and out of focus occur I come back to my last lenses and some days later I try again andit works fine but now I begin to use the second lens and I'm having the same problem , I have some years using contact lenses and never had this bad experience" (Add a comment)

LOVE THESE CONTACTS
"I have been wearing contacts for about five years, and before that, wore bifocals for about 15 years.
These are the best contacts I have ever worn. Easy to get in and out. Great, clear vision, and COMFORTABLE! I love these contacts! I feel like I have the vision I had when I was 12 years old! ! ! ! ! WONDERFUL! ! ! ! " (Add a comment)

Still working on the best fit
"I got a pair of the Lows (-1.25) and after some adjustment, and significant headaches, they started to work! Then I went to the Mids (-1.75). Now my distance vision is no good. However, my reading vision is better. Not sure why the distance vision went bad with?only changing the reading vision. Hope it adjusts. I may have to go to the Low for the dominant eye, or back to both Lows as that was pretty good. Or should I give it more than a few days to adjust?
And...Are there any exercises to help speed up the adjustment? (Add a comment)

Acuvue Oasys for Presbyopia
"Wearing mine now as part of a 2 week trail - after 20 years of gas permeable / hard lenses Ive never been so comfortable, though getting them in and out was a nightmare at first. Haven't used my readers once, and no problem driving. Sometimes its a bit like magic eye when you wait for clear vision to kick in at a new distance. (Add a comment)

Oasys for Presbyopia is a godsend
"I have been wearing contacts of different types and strengths for 41 years. I have never been so delighted with a contact lens in my life. I have been using reading glasses for almost 15 years, even with contacts. Now I wear the presbyopia lens (in one eye, the other eye for distance). It is absolutely amazing that I have not even picked up a pair of reading glasses since my new prescription two months ago. Bravo!" (Add a comment)

You need at least 4 weeks to get used to these!
"i tried 3 different oasys pairs; 2 with medium cut, one with high cut. the high ones were great for computer work but TERRIBLE for distance, VERY double vision. I tried them for 3 days and went berserk. Back to the second prescription of MED cut: slight double vision nearby. I read that your brain needs to get trained. tried for about 3 weeks and the double vision is gone. my plan: alternate: 2 weeks of my old single lenses, with 2 weeks of the new bifocals. Stay tuned." Overall pleased!
"I have been trying the new Oasys for Presbyopia lenses for a week now and intend to order some boxes from my optometrist today. I have been wearing an Oasys prescription for mono vision which has worked pretty well for me. With the new lenses I lose some sharpness with distance (but still plenty good for driving), and reading is MUCH improved, especially at the computer screen. I bet Acuvue will eventually pefect these, but they're good enough now for me to switch." (Add a comment)

Acuvue Oasys for Presbyopia - not happy
"I wore these lenses for a few days before they became blurry when reading. The far vision was never clear. I assume these issues could be resolved with a prescription adjustment. A bigger problem is the lense is too soft when applying to my eyes. Once I'm able to keep the lense from flopping over, apply it to my eye, it wears well. I am going back to the Air Optix Aqua multifocal lenses." (Add a comment)

"Have tried them all. Just got the Oasys Bifocals today. So far they are terrible. On the way home I saw two of ever trafic light. Can't recogniz a face at more than 100 feet but I can read with them. I'll give them one more day. I think this is the fourth brand of bifocal contacts that I have tried. Could not read with any of them except these but not being able to recognze a face at more than 100 feet makes them more than useless." (Add a comment)

Acuvue Oasys for Presbyopia
"Love these! I don't need much correction to my distance vision but reading was a big problem. Also have dry eyes. I had tried several other types of contacts and even gas perm bifocal lenses. Until these Acuvue Oasys for Presbyopia lenses, if I could read with the lenses I couldn't see enough distance to also drive. These lenses give me the most reading and distance vision of any of the multifocals I've tried. And they are the most comfortable lenses I've ever worn." (Add a comment)

acuvue wont allow all eye drs to carry the new presbyopia lenses?
"oasys monovision most comfortable ever/ went to dr/new exam/asked about b&l multifocal/ ordered pair/distance incredible & also read. few days found comfort inferior to oasys. acuvue now has an oasys multifocal/called dr. 3 weeks&he can't get a pair/ called acuvue myself and told MARKETING only gives them to certain providers /have to go to 1 on list/ walmart ? and pay for new test!! if head office reads this /realize your marketing plan is driving away business in favor of their competitor b&l" (Add a comment)

"Ken, switching from one brand to another will require a new prescription as the parameters of the new lenses can be different, so it's always a good idea to get it checked with the doctor/ecp. As for the list of providers maybe Vistakon is first going with a smaller set of ecp's as this is a fairly new lens - we don't know - just guessing." (Add a comment)

Acuvue Oasys for Presbyopia
"I Love Them....I did however, have to go back to my optometrist to get a stronger lens for my right eye (because my distance was not so great), and now I have perfect vision. ...Up Close, In-Between and Distance!!!" (Add a comment)

reading great, far not so great
"wearing trial pair and the reading is perfect (well, perfect to me anyway). Distance vision not so great especially when driving, blur/double vision when seeing road signs, oncoming traffic. Am going to ask for stronger distance in dominate eye and see what happens. Other than that, comfortable, no fuss." (Add a comment)

Far vision... not so good
"I got a trial pair in July. I was not sure initially of the difference, but I could now read normaly and computer. Very comfortable. However driving home was a challenge. Even on a bright day, I could not see clearly road signs. Out of focus or double vision. May be I was doing something wrong, but so far it does not work for me." ( Add a comment)

not happy
"Was given one to try from my eye care doc that was only +1.75. Very comfortable right out of the box; couldn't read a thing! Put on my dime-store readers with it and I can read. No thanks!!" (Add a comment)

Oasys Bifocal.
"Great comfort out of the box, require religious replacement to stay comfortable!
The near vision correction is modest, but helpful. I hope they come out with a high add in the near future!" (Add a comment)
