Conclusion:

Both lenses were introduced in 2005 and each lens is available in a wide range of powers (although there is a slight advantage for Acuvua Oasys as they are offered in two different base base curves). Similar to Air Optix Aqua (from CibaVision), PureVision gets points on price as it is a monthly replacement lens, compared to the 1-2 replacement schedule of Acuuve Oasys.  Looking at some popular online retailers, we noticed a significant price range for PureVision. Prices for one box are starting at $30 and are going up to $50, so with a little bit of homework you can save a lot of money.

We couldn't find any information about UV blocking for PureVision (so we assumed there is no UV blocking available), an area where Acuvue Oasys clearly shines. Last not least both lenses are available as toric and as multifocal versions.
