Blurry vision with Oasys

Do not use
"I have been using Oasys for a few weeks now I am constantly having problems. Dry eyes, itchy eyes, and I feel like something is always on my eyeball irritating it. I have ready too many postings that have led to a corneal ulcer. I have used Acuvue Advanced for YEARS...no problems! Made an appt with eye Dr, seeing him in 5 days...switching to another lens with no hesitation, not taking any chances" (Add a comment)

Deposits very rapidly accumulate
"The negative that I find is deposits. I use them as daily wear lenses, taking them out every time I sleep and tossing them after a week. Despite not wearing them overnight, I can still clearly see that a whitish film starts to deposit on the lens within about week. And this isn't something that will wash off. (Add a comment)
The lens won't even remain reasonably deposit free for even half of the two weeks the thing is supposed to last

Horrible lenses causing many bad reactions!
"I was glad to see I'm not the only one who found these lenses painful and if you do a little digging online, it seems as though they are downright dangerous. If you have any negative reactions to these, don't brush it off as something else. It most likely IS the contacts. Gravelly, goopy, red eyes are just some of the problems these can cause. Problems wearing Oasys lenses
"AARRRGGGHHH! I wore acuvue lenses with no problems for years ... started wearing the oasys and no problem for the first couple of months - now I can't wear them for any more than a few hours without wanting to scratch my eyes out ... so glad to hear I'm not the only one!! worst contacts ever
"I've worn contacts for over 20 yrs and never had a single problem I switched from original acuvue to the oasys and now have chronic red eye! been to 3 optomologists, 2 optomotrists and now considering lasik if my eyes haven't been permanently damaged by these lenses. i've stopped wearing the oasys and my problems haven't gone away even tho i've been wearing my glasses for the past 3 weeks." Quite Good
"The Acuvue Oasys contacts are quite comfortable for me. I can wear them 8 hours pretty easily. the annoying thing for me is that they scratch very easily (they are the only contacts I've tried so I can't compare this to any other contacts). I try to be very careful and I have short nails, but I still scratch a lot of lenses - very expensive." (Add a comment)

Best lenses out there!
"These are my first contact lenses that I have gotten and they are very comfortable. You can't feel them in your eyes at all; you forget that you're wearing contacts! They also keep moisturized all day. I highly recommend these lenses, they are the best out there." (Add a comment)

Acuvue Oasys does not work for me
"My doctors keep pushing me to use this brand. I used it last year and it was so irritating that I switched back to hydraclear..however my doctors are pushing oasys again so i am trying them for this week..
still these contacts for dry and irritated and I feel like scratching my eyes out..I don't know why the Optometrist won't believe me!! i can't wait to go back to hydraclear." (Add a comment)

Acuvue Oasys is definitely way better than Acuvue Clear
"I really always encounter discomfort whenever I wore contact lenses.. but surprisingly the moment I put on this Acuvue Oasys Hydra Clear Plus, its total comfort, and it did not occur to me that I was wearing lenses when I was out the last couple of hours.. I guess that the more expensive range is more comfortable than the cheapest range (acuvue clear), maybe the quality different alot." ( Add a comment)

Acuvue Oasys; Not what they used to be
"I wore Acuvue Oasys for about a year and they were far more comfortable than any other lenses I had worn. However, the manufacture of them seemed to change about 8 months ago and now they scratch and I get blurred vision. "I agree.....I had worn these lenses for quite a while. However, I cannot wear them anymore as they are blurry and irratating....I feel like they're rubbing my eyelid. I called and asked if anyone had reported the same concerns, but they claim no. I find it hard to believe that I am the only one who suddenly can't wear them. The must have changed the manufacture. Not so great for me personally
"I've had the light sensitivity, redness, scratching, & burning. Every time it happens I wait up to 10 days for it to go away before putting the contacts in again. I've been wearing contacts for 12 yrs with no problem. I've abused contact lens wear & not take them out for days with my older brand & never get irritated eyes, but I could fall asleep on accident for 15 minutes & have an immediate red eye that lasts a week w/ Acuvue Oasys. They immediately burn when I put them in & are expensive" (Add a comment)

Allergic reaction

Amazing...
"I used to have Acuvue 2. I would sleep in them sometimes (after staying the night at a friends without a case...) and the following morning my eyes would be SO sensitive to light that i couldn't drive. Once i had to leave work because my eyes were SO irritated and red. I swithced to Oasys... don't tell my eye doctor but i sleep in them all the time. i forget they're in... but i've never had a problem . they last me months. SOOO comfortable" (Add a comment)

Allergie to Acuvue Oasys?
"I've been wearing contact lenses for 15 years now, and never had any problems. I've tried Oasys. They felt different from the day one. In about a month my eyes became itchy, after few hours of wearing them. When I took them out I felt cutting, which lasted for about an hour. Then all the symptoms dissapeared. I thought I might have some infection but I found out on the net that I am not the only one by far! There seems to be something in the composition of Oasys that some people are allergic to." WORST CONTACTS EVER
"Damaged my eyes permanently. I had worn acuvue2's for 12 years with zero problems, infections, etc. 5 Months with Oasys and I started getting amazing allergic reactions to the contacts. I wear Acuvue Oasys disposables,..
"...and have mostly been very happy with them. However, I did develop horrible dry, red eyes when I wore them after my baby was born — and was amazed to discover that switching cleaning solutions solved that issue. I highly, highly recommend using an overnight solution like ClearCare and preservative-free saline. "..I’m nearsighted and wear my contacts 90% of the time vs. my glasses, but I can vouch for the Acuvue Oasys Hydraclear contacts.
I had a hellish time last year where I had to try six different brands of contacts in 3 months before finding the one brand that didn’t feel like I was walking through a perpetual sandstorm.
