More than 20 years ago Vistakon introduced Acuvue, the first disposable contact lenses, and they are still one of the most popular lenses in the market. The lenses are designed for two-week daily wear or one-week continuous wear. That means that you put them in, live and sleep in them for seven days and six nights, and then throw them away and start with a fresh pair. The thin design allows oxygen to be transmitted to the eye.

Even after 20 years, Acuvue is still worn by more people than any other contact lens in the world.
